Job Description
|
We are looking for more people to serve on the baptismal preparation team. The tasks are interesting, varied and personally rewarding. Any needed preparation will be provided locally.
The baptismal preparation team extends hospitality, community, and support especially to parents of children to be baptized. Following the Church’s plan, the team helps with the preparation
before the baptism, assists at baptism, and follows-up afterward.

MARRIAGE PREPARATION MINISTRY |

Job Description
|
Married couples needed to lead small group of engaged couples using “Evenings for the Engaged” program and guide. The Program is given in the Spring and Fall. There are three married
couples on each team. Must be able and willing to share details from their own marriage experience with others.

In the lead couple’s home; the last of the 5 meetings is held at the church
|
|
Time Commitment
|
5 Monday evenings twice a year. Each evening is approximately 7:30pm – 10:00pm. Also, preparation time for oral presentations and sharing (each couple prepares 3 presentations of
approximately 30min. in length).

By invitation of pastor, expressions of interest welcome. Must be a couple that have good prayer/faith, a great love for each other and family, and the sacrament of Matrimony. Must have a

Job Description
|
A team of adults shares responsibility for leading a reflection on scripture with adults during the Sunday dismissal, leading an extended catechetical session and occasionally serving as
sponsors. Children in RCIA also meet weekly at the Sunday dismissal but do not meet in a weekly extended session.

Time Commitment
|
Participation in Sunday liturgy to support candidates. Where appropriate, attendance at weekly catechetical sessions for an hour each. Leading a session once every six weeks that takes about two hours
of reflection and preparation.

Qualifications

Confirmed, committed, and practicing Catholic; by invitation of pastor, expressions of interest welcome

Training
|
Experience as a catechist would be helpful but not necessary; the processes used in RCIA encourage reflection on scripture rather than a dependence on a teaching model
