There are plenty of jobs for those parishioners at home that are able to make phone calls. The musicians and Children’s Liturgy of the Word volunteers, as well as many other groups, need weekly and monthly reminder calls and scheduling work done.

Job Description
This relatively new and innovative program presents an opportunity for children in grades 1 through 6 to celebrate the Liturgy of the Word in a format designed for them. Held through the academic year during the 9:30am Mass on Sundays, members of the parish community lead the children to the parish center for readings, song and spiritual reflection. Coordinators are responsible for making reminder calls to all of the other volunteers that are assigned to their week, setting up and breaking down the worship space, and being present for the whole liturgy on that Sunday.

Coordinators are assigned to one 9:30am Sunday Mass per month, which is approximately a 3-hour commitment for the month with calls, setup, breakdown and the liturgy itself

There will be a training meeting at the start of the year for all volunteers to review the order of the liturgy; more detailed job descriptions will be provided at that time

Follow-up contacts (primarily phone calls, some visits) with registered St. Elizabeth’s parish members to ensure the parish staff – and, perhaps, back-up parish members – are able to meet in planned and unplanned events, meetings. You will work closely with Pastor Fr. Walter Woods and the ordained staff, as well as the parish center staff to further these contacts.

ST. ELIZABETH’S HOMEFRONT MEETING/MESSAGES - ORGANIZING AND PREPARATION
All of the members of the Homefront Group need to be on the ‘same page’ as we contact our fellow parish members. The Homefront Group will be digging into parish information and will need to organize and use this information in our contact and preparation. Your role will be to draft formats that we will test together as a group.

Be the main contact for one or more volunteer positions, responsible for receiving and placing phone calls to the volunteers and the office staff and responsible for maintaining a schedule for the volunteers.
