This involves work to maintain our church. These opportunities vary from once a month vacuuming of the altar, sacristy and music room to volunteering to “tidy the church” once a year. Some jobs
can be done from home such as washing and ironing the altar linens or “follower” cleaning and others require you to spend some time in the church such as hymnal repairs and replacing the Breaking Bread issues
each year.

We need someone to clean the followers (the tops on the candles that catch the melted wax). Cleaning involves several steps: place the glass followers on a cookie sheet lined with aluminum foil
and bake them at 250 degrees in your own oven until all the wax has melted off, then wipe them down with paper towels to get rid of any wax residue, finally, wash them with soap and water.

Job Description
|
We are looking for a person, or team of people, to tidy up the church for one or more weeks, per their preference. This is the ideal job for a group of children.
· Pick up all of the bulletins and other scraps of paper in the church
· Place bulletins collected into the recycling box and scraps into trash can located in the plant room behind where the musicians stand during Mass
· Tuck the ribbons into the red Worship books
· Place all of the hymnals back into their racks in this order: red Worship on either end, with two Gather with Breaking Bread behind them (so that they
don’t fall over) in the middle of the rack
· Please don’t forget the balcony
