 Spiritual
Groups
Legion
of Mary
The purpose of this worldwide organization of men and women is to
increase the spirituality of its members and the parish through
apostolic works. Members attend weekly meetings and contribute time
each week to parish activity. Membership is open to all men and
women in the parish. The Legion of Mary also have over 400 auxiliary
members, not required to attend meetings, who pray the rosary and
prescribed prayers each day.
Centering Prayer
Here at St. Elizabeth's we are fortunate to have two Centering Prayer
group communities. Both meet in the Youth Group Room of the Parish
Center, one on Mondays at 7:30 p.m. and the other on Tuesdays at
7:30 p.m. Both groups are open to new members.
Cursillo
There is an active Cursillo community at St. Elizabeth's which welcomes
all who have made or wish to make a 3-day Cursillo weekend. Cursillo
is a method of piety, study and apostolic action to make possible
the living out of what is fundamental to being a Christian. Cursillo
weekends are held at St. Basil's center in Methuen, and at St. William's
Hall in Brighton.
Ultreya
An extension of the Cursillo program. Ultreyas are usually held
on the first Friday of the month from October through June. Watch
the bulletin for specific times and locations.
