| Lectors |
Lectors are parish family members who proclaim the Word (Scripture)
at daily, weekend and Holy Days liturgies and other ceremonies.
Both adults and confirmed high school youth are welcome, and
training is available periodically. Lectors are scheduled to
read on a rotating basis.
|
| Music |
There are several active groups that provide music for the weekend
liturgies. Styles vary from the traditional to the contemporary,
with each group having its own special "personality" and repertoire.
Singers and instrumentalists of all ranges and ability levels
can find a way to be involved, and are welcome at any time.
The group combines voices and talent several times a year in
support of various parish events - notably during Holy Week
and Confirmation.

| Altar Servers |
|
The altar servers of St. Elizabeth
of Hungary Parish are a committed and eager group of young
liturgical ministers who assist at the altar during Mass and
other liturgical celebrations.
Altar serving provides an important ministry for children
and youth 4th grade and older. Interested youth who have received
their First Eucharist are invited to join this ministry in
the fall. New trainings are generally scheduled in the fall
with a refresher at mid-year. Schedules are mailed individually
to each server, in addition to being posted in the church.
Nurtured within the servers is the importance of their roles
within our community's worship, as well as reverence to and
active participation in the celebration of the Eucharist.
Congenial social gatherings play an important part in developing
loyalty and support to one's fellow servers.
Please contact the Parish Office for further information.

| Children's Liturgy of the Word |
This relatively new and innovative program presents an opportunity
for children in grades 1 through 6 to celebrate the Liturgy
of the Word in a format designed for them. Held through the
academic years during the 9:30 Mass on Sunday, members of the
parish community lead the children to the parish center for
readings, song and spiritual reflection.
|
| Liturgical |
There
are many ways to become involved in supporting and enhancing
our worship celebrations. We especially encourage new parishioners
to make known their experience in any aspect of worship and
liturgy.
|
| Processional Cross Bearer Ministry |
A
new ministry here at St. Elizabeth's. Cross Bearers are placed
on a rotational list.
|
| Hospitality |
Greeters
and ushers exercise the ministry of hospitality in the greeting
and ordinary seating of the congregation, and in the collection
of offerings at weekend or other liturgies. They direct and
assist people, especially the handicapped, and provide ready
help for anyone with special needs. We welcome men and women
who would like to serve the parish in this important ministry
which sets the tone for our celebrations.

Parishioners who
would like to volunteer for one of these ministries, please
