From the beginning, the Christian community has celebrated important events and times with specific rituals of worship. This has given rise to the liturgical life of the Church, which includes all the sacraments and more. At St. Elizabeth Parish we treasure this part of our life and seek to prepare and celebrate the liturgy as well as we can. While this certainly requires the service of many people in various ministries, it primarily requires the full, conscious, and active participation of the worshiping assembly. When we celebrate liturgy faithfully and well, we encounter the Lord who is present and active among us with his gifts of reconciliation, peace, and call to mission.
This area of our web site presents our normal worship schedule. It offers brief introductions to the principal liturgical celebrations that occur in our parish including the preparation and pastoral care that they call for. We also present some of the liturgical ministries that help to prepare and celebrate God's worship.
