The Liturgy Committee is charged by the pastor to assist him in implementing the primary aim of the liturgical reform; i.e. to encourage the full, conscious, and active participation of the faithful in all liturgical celebrations. The Committee also assists him in his obligation of liturgical formation of ministries.
The parish liturgy committee meets monthly to prepare our liturgical celebrations in keeping with the Church’s documents, according to the seasons of the liturgical year, and considering the needs particular to our community.
Members of the committee coordinate, chair, and/or participate in various liturgical ministries of the parish: Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Readers, Altar Servers, Music Ministry, Environment and Art, Homebound Ministry, Funeral Ministry, Ministers of Hospitality, Prayer of the Faithful Writers, Altar Linen Maintenance, and Bread Baking Ministry.
